Foot & Ankle
 Problems with the foot and ankle are the musculoskeletal problems that require the most medical evaluation and treatment. There are a number of problems that can result from the foot/ankle area:
- Sports injuries
- Occupational injuries
- Plantar fasciitis
- Acquired deformities
- Arthritis
- Injuries caused by trauma, i.e. fractures and tendon ruptures
- Metatarsalgia
Here at the Orthopaedic Center we treat all of these conditions and many more. --
One of our partners, Dr. James Solmen, is among the few foot and ankle specialists in the area, one of only two members of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society in the Mahoning Valley. Dr. Solmen trained in the latest surgical techniques:
- Foot and ankle fusions
- Ligament and tendon reconstructions and transfers
- Ankle Replacements
- Arthroscopic ankle surgery
Our Physicians communicate closely with the number of physical therapists that work as part of our practice, in order to provide a progressive form of treatment for both surgical and nonsurgical foot and ankle problems.
